Kind of strange how at first it looks like they're doing almost a scene-for-scene remake of the first couple episodes, and then it starts to go off.

I still think the remake's probably a bad idea that won't work, but I'll probably watch it.

Yeah, there's just something that doesn't click, aside from the American accents. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was not The Prisoner, but The Truman Show. It's like they've tried to recreat some of the weirdness of the original in the slightly odd architecture, Rover and so on, but then thought they didn't want to get too weird for TV land. It's a strange beast. Not bad, just... empty.
