Stay classy Electronic Arts
Jul. 25th, 2009 07:09 pmElectronic Arts are running a competition at Comic-Con which basically calls for people to sexually assault a "booth babe" and win a prize.
Okay, maybe it's not quite that stark, but they've launched this competition:

So "commit an act of lust" on a woman and you can win a chance to take them out for dinner. No way that could be misconstrued, right?
According to EA, people are getting it all wrong. When they said "commit an act of lust", it was merely a tongue in cheek way of saying take a photo. And no one could possibly see that phrase as an invitation for sexual harassment, right?
It's kind of a double whammy of objectification - grab a girl, "commit an act of lust" and maybe you'll win them an another girl as a prize, along with dinner and "booty".
And EA has opened this up for any booth babe on the floor. I suspect whoever is working other stands didn't sign up for this shit.
My faith in humanity can currently be found huddled in the corner, rocking back and forth.
As
I wonder if they're just going to change their name to Electronic Arse and be done with it?
