Nothing like a little random xenophobia

An Englishman, an Irishman, and a Frenchman are walking out in the desert. They come across a lamp, and after gving it a rub, a Genie emerges:

"I am the Genie of the Lamp! I grant you three wishes, however, seeing as there are three of you, I shall grant you but one wish each!"

The Irishman thinks for a moment. He then replies:

"Well I know what I'm wishing for. I wish for all the pubs in Ireland to be open 24 Hours, and to serve free Guinness."

The Genie snaps his fingers, and the Irishman disappears. He appears back in Ireland. All the pubs are open 24 Hours and all serve free Guinness.

Then the Frenchman jumps up and says "I know exactly want I want. France is ze most beautiful country in ze world. But we share ze borders with many foolish foreigners who come to ze greatest nation on ze planet but do not give us ze respect. I would like you to build a wall. I want zis wall to be 1000 feet high and I want it to surround France, so that nothing can get in and nothing can get out."

The Genie clicks his fingers, and the Frenchman disappears back to France, his wish fulfilled.
There is a huge wall around France at is officially separate from the rest of Europe.

So now the English man gets up and says, "Tell me more about this wall you built for Pierre." So the genie tells him, "This wall is 1000 feet high and surrounds France and noting can pass in or out."

"Okay," says the Englishman. "Fill it with water."
