angelophile: (Zaphod quote)

Morning all. Time for a real update. As you can see, I've been going bonkers over on Twitter a fair bit, which suits my posting style. As has been obvious over the years, it's all or nothing with me - either wordy posts that seem to go on forever, on just a brief snippet just to point people in the direction of whatever daft link I've found recently with little in between. The combination of Twitter and LJ gives me the perfect combination for that and I admit, I'm reaching Stephen Fry levels of obsession.

I wish I had his lifestyle, though, so I was Twittering from some desert island somewhere and not from rain soaked GB.

As social networking goes, I've clicked with the site far better than Facebook or Myspace or any of that, though. Simplicity is the key and the instant nature of it appeals.

However, for those who follow me here for more in depth stuff, yeah, I'll still be slipping in the occasional review or lengthy post. I don't think it'll affect things at all, really, other than filling the gaps between those rambles.

Anyone wishing to follow, or be followed, directly on Twitter, just see me here.

Other random thoughts - when people browse my LJ directly, do you see blood or butterflies? Yeah, strange question, I know, but I've always had a problem in Safari getting the header image to replace the one in the default theme. It works in Firefox, Opera, Explorer and other browsers I've tried, but not Safari and I've never figured out why.

Other other random thoughts and a survey really...

(Multiple choice, so pick as many as you like.)

Thing is, I write this journal (and my Twitter) for my own pleasure as much as the people that read it, but I'm certainly willing to tweak what I write about if some people love something, but hate something else. For that matter, do people dislike the Twitter feeding to this journal? I like the feature myself, but if most people would rather have the option to read Twitter directly, I'm fine with that too.

I don't expect a lot of readers, mostly I just ramble about what's on my mind. Just curious why people follow this journal and what they read here.

Cheers!

I'm Twitter-averse but I find it tolerable when you're funny.
