People in the US will know better than me. Obama's sworn in as President today, so has he actually listed any policies yet? Or is he still doing the "CHANGE which I refuse to define" schtick?
Also, you voted for the guy chuffing ages ago. Why does it take so chuffing long for him to actually become President?
US politics are weird.
Mind you, this alternative Labour political broadcast was a bit too close to the bone too.

Date: 2009-01-20 05:52 pm (UTC)The 2 month gap started long ago, before the digital age, when it took much MUCH longer to get all the votes in and counted. Even today, there are sill absentee votes, military votes, etc, that need to be handcounted too.
They don't even agree the winner is the winner until the electoral college meets in early to mid December.
Then the president- elect needs time to pick a Cabinet and have them checked out/vetted, etc.
And who wants to move over the holidays?
