This doesn't sound good. SUP has fired 20 of its 28 LiveJournal employees. According to this article: "The company's product managers and engineers were laid off, leaving only a handful of finance and operations workers — which speaks to a website to be left on life support."

I've backed up my entries just in case and I'll look about migrating them to Insanejournal after deadline's out the way, but hopefully this is a blip and not as worrying as it might appear.

EDIT: Other sources are claiming the number of layoffs is lower and due to restructuring and using existing staff in the current owner's Russian businesses.
