angelophile: (The Emperor - Kill him)

For the stark reminder why I'm really not a fan of the Catholic church.

I'd make a more obvious and biting remark, but I'm trying to remain Christian about it.

What's kind of funny (even if I'm not a fan of Catholics either) is that the Church has always been against homosexuality. The Pope reinforcing that is... nothing surprising.

What's really funny is preaching religious intolerance at Christmas. Peace on earth and good will to all me, unless they like other men, apparently.

It's just that I've known people who are gay... and catholic. It doesn't make any sense to me. EVERYONE knows the Catholic church speaks against homosexuality. And yet these people, whenever things like this arise, have a fit.

I know Jesus taught about love and acceptance. A lot of church communities ARE turning to that. My parents, who are very fundamentalist Christian, have. But the Catholic church shoved their tradition too far up their ass.

You will randomly condemn a bunch of people to hell for the reasons you see fit?

Ehem.

Agreed with above, it's no surprise that the Pope is against homosexuality.

Rain forests deserve as much protection as humanity does? In other words, humans are just as important as rain forests?

I never understand anything the Pope says...
