So, I don't know if everyone heard about this, but yesterday a plane crash landed at London Heathrow, missing the runway by about 500 yards. 18 people out of the 136 passengers suffered mild injuries and the planes wheels were torn off at impact. Footage yesterday would have suggested pilot error may have been to blame.
Except:
Today it's emerged that both of the plane's engines suffered catastrophic failure two miles away from the airport.
Two miles.
The co-pilot, John Coward, glided the plane down without engines and managed to land, with passengers sustaining only minor injuries.
That 500 yards is looking pretty damn good now.
John Coward? The guy's a fricking hero.
