angelophile | I love the calm little moments before the storm

Yeah, still on deadline. Bad day yesterday, but it's going better today. Feeling a little less like I want to kill someone and can't decided whether it should be me or everyone else, which is always a good sign.

I'm on a Leon kick at the moment. I've been watching the movie again for the first time in a couple of years, at least. A few things I forgot:

How much I love the movie.
How brilliantly understated Jean Reno's performance is.
How over the top Gary Oldman's performance is. I remembered it being memorable, but not quite so heavy on the pantomime. Still genius.
How uncomfortable the Leon/Matilda relationship gets in places.
How good Natalie Portman is. And I guess she forgot too, since she couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag these days.

I need to try and get my hands on the Special Edition.
