angelophile | It's that time of year again...

No, not the Oscars, but an awards ceremony that's possibly even more self indulgent and with bigger egos - The Annual DonMurphy.net Awards - affectionately known as the Spammies. It started out as a bit of fun three years ago, for those Transformers fans on the producer's message boards, voting winners for categories like "Most Creative Member", "Most Sarcastic" (which I won last year), "Most Intelligent Poster" etc etc. Yeah, not too different from a lot of message boards that have the same sort of events.

Last year it got a little more impressive as my friend Jarek AKA JesterJJZ and his crony Jolin worked together to produce a video of the "awards ceremony". This year Jarek's gone all out and seems to be working on some kind of Ben Hur-esque epic. He's even created a TRAILER for the event, a shockingly good short film that looks fantastic.

Watch it. It's great fun, even if the whole thing is terribly self indulgent, we have a good laugh and Jarek's trailer is a nice piece of filmmaking.
