Coming from the days when Jubilee was awesome, Synch was still alive and kicking and Skin was emo, I bring you the Generation X - San Diego Convention Preview, a free preview that was given out at the 1994 San Diego Comic Convention. Continuity wise, it would seems to fit between issues #11 and 12 of the regular Generation X series. (Mondo's at the school and it's after Jono's accidentally blown up the girl's dorms).
Cuteness ahoy as Jubilee writes a letter to Wolverine, describing the school and her team mates.

Written by Scott Lobdell, with pencils by the once-upon-a-time dream team of Chris Bachalo (pencils) and Mark Buckingham (inker). Don't ask me what's up with everyone's noses though.
Reading this makes me squee and feel so sad for those glory days at the same time. RIP Generation X.
(What's interesting is Mondo has more to do than he ever did in the actual Generation X series, Generation Next excluded.)
An introduction to our favourite doomed young mutants.
