The last couple of weeks I got:

Son of M #3 - Pietro's decline continues and it's one hell of a ride. Superlative.

X-men: The 198 #2 - Hine's other book and he's proving he can cut it with a nice twist and some strong character moments. It has Leech! But how come his powers weren't working on Mr M? huh?

Transformers: Infiltration #2 - There's actually some Transformers in this one and Runabout and Runamuck make it my fanboy wet dream come true. Not only do they kick ass, but they namecheck "Instruments of Destruction." Nice one. Still slow though.

Young Avengers #10 - Nice twist coming through, but there's a couple of leaps of logic that are making this issue less effective than previously.

Wolverine #38 - That's it, I'm done with this book. Wake me up when something happens.

Amazing Fantasy #17 - Disappointing return for Death's Head. Or rather, not Death's head. A very generic story, disappointingly.

Punisher/Bullseye #3 - Action packed but lacking the wit of the previous issues. Hopefully it'll pick up.

Defenders #5 - A disappointing end to a disappointing series. After issue 1 things began to fall apart. Humor just doesn't work if you need to stop and explain the joke every few seconds and then explain why certain characters are even cracking jokes in the first place.

Uncanny X-men #469 - The calm after te storm, but something's brewing. Some nice moments for Rachel and finally someone recalls Cannonball and Husk are actually related and puts them in some scenes together. Huzzah! Solid.

Marvel Team Up #17 - After a couple of action packed, thrilling and entertaining issues, suddenly Kirkman kills the pace by having a "League of Losers have some time off" issue. It kills the momentum of the story and also any chance the Loser in question might actually learn from this whole story. Disappointing.

Underworld #1 - Tieri's strengh lies with gangster stories and the underworld story in his Wolverine run was his strongest. He gets to flex his criminal leanings a bit here. Nicely done and interesting concept - exactly how does an old fashioned mob thug survive in a world of spandex?

X-Statix Presents: Deadgirl #1 - Pretty unmemorable, unfortunately. Probably not helped by the fact that it's an issue of guest stars with barely any X-Statix exposure.

New Avengers #15 - Okay issue but wasn't this supposed to be a Spiderwoman two parter? She's not in this issue at all, hardly. Frank Cho drawns nice cheesecake but it's a pretty bland issue in all.

X-men: Deadly Genesis #3 - Bastards. On the other hand my theory is turning out to be correct. I like the writing, just not what's being written.

Daredevil #81 - Bendis goes out with a whimper, rather than a bang, but his increasingly decompressed stories have become a bore anyway. Past time for a change.

New Excalibur #4 - Great, good old fashioned cheese. It's likably silly and old-school and does exactly what it sets out to do. But hands off Pete. You could do better.

My Mutant Heart - Doop slash. Seriously, it doesn't get any better.

Nextwave #1 - Okay, it DOES get better.

The Sentry #5 - This guy is seriously fucked up. Makes for a great story. What if Superman was a schizophrenic nutcase? Wouldn't you hate to be his shrink?

X-Factor #3 - Layla Miller is a little ficking psycho. She's now officially cool. Oh, and Monet naked, dancing to "I'm Too Sexy". I'm sold.

Also: X-men #182, Black Widow #5, Sensational Spiderman #23, but not read them yet.

Didn't Leech learn to rein in his dampening field a while back? Maybe he just has it stuck fairly close to him. Of course Mr. M can do anything the writer wants, maybe he just wanted him immune to Leech. ;)

Which leaps of logic bothered you in YA10?

Maybe I worded it badly but it seemed strange that they would spenda few hours breaking people out of prison and immediately trusting them, as well as well as bumming around the Avenger's tower. Given the fact that one of their own was in trouble and they hadn't shown the slightest hesitation in getting out of their depth before and the fact that someone was killed in front of them and Teddy was, presumably, in mortal danger, fooling around with freeingconvicted criminals instead of waiting for Jarvis to finish a phone call and get some experienced help seemed pretty screwball.
