Oh, and in other movie news...

...Michael Bay, director of The Rock, Bad Boys I & II, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon and the upcoming Ewan McGregor/Scarlett Johansson action flick The Island has finally been confirmed as the director of the upcoming live action Transformers movie. He's been on the cards for a couple of months, but hadn't put pen to paper. Don Murphy confirmed he was finally on board this weekend, but he'll need to devote his attention to The Island before he starts on Transformers, that should start production in September.
The release date of Thanksgiving 2006 is still on the cards.

Date: 2005-06-01 02:25 pm (UTC)Pearl Harbor was horrible but looked great and his other movies have been enjoyable enough eye candy. He doesn't seem a bad choice and his movies are all big hits. And The Island looks excellent.
When his name came up I was uncertain, bu I don't rate him as a disappointing choice.

Date: 2005-06-01 11:01 pm (UTC)A) It's gonna be Bay's first film working wih Speilberg rather than Jerry Brukheimer.
B) It's the same writers who are writing the TF movie. (Kirkman and someone, who also write 'Alias'.)
C) Great cast.
