Hah hah. Actually, I hadn't heard any reviews of it so just went to see it and enjoyed it. It could have been better, could have been worse. But it had enough cool moments for me to give it a thumbs up. Just wondered what others thought.
I never saw it. I kinda lost interest in the whole thing when I heard they decided to set it on Earth _before_ the Alien movie. I wasn't really that interested in the first place, but I was kind of hoping it'd be either out in space (maybe even around an alien world completely taken over by the Aliens) or, if on Earth, then after Aliens had already overrun much of the actual planet.
That was the one thing that annoyed me - I wish they'd based it a little more on the comic books, although a large amount was ripped from the comics, that fell flat with me. I guess they felt they needed to combine elements from both franchises and following the Alien continuity of setting it in the far future would be too much of a leap from the present day when the Predator films were set. That said, if it had been set 50 years or so in the future I'd have been happier.
