Raimi has shot down the possibility of a Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash film, saying that now is not the right time for the film. Raimi told IGN that he would love to make another Evil Dead film, saying, "I really had a lot of fun with them, and I think the audience may now want to see one. Maybe when I'm done with the Spider-Man movie I can get to work on one." He said that was the major reason for shooting down Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash, that "I wanted to keep the option open for myself to make another Evil Dead movie without the limitations of what that story may have done." Raimi holds complete control over the rights to the Ash character.
