finally got all the furniture moved into my place and surprisingly everything fits. Just. It's squeaky tight in a couple of places (like, half an inch to play with in the alcoves by the fireplace). It's starting to come together although I've only got as far as putting furniture in and moving -most- of my stuff from home. Apparently I have a -lot- of stuff. Tonight I'm gonna go round, get my computer up together, my clothes in the wardrobes, the fridge cleaned and sprayed to cover the slight scratches and knocks, videos and stuff put away. My flat really wasn't built for getting furniture into ad we had to disassemble a whole load of stuff to get it up the stairs. It's taken a while to put back together.
A few disasters along the way. My second hand washing machine leaked when I tried it so I think it may need work. When I do get the chance I'll pull it out and look over it. Also I put my speakers on the wall and one promptly fell off, smashed the cabinet of the speaker and took a chunk of plaster out of the wall where it hit. Hopefully both will be repairable.
Still so much to do and no idea where to start. Hopefully I'll be ready to move in on Thursday if not before.
