So, I am now the proud owner of £130,000 pounds worth of debt! Woot!

Oh, and also a new flat.

Spent most of yesterday running back and forth between the solicitors and the bank and trying to sort things out, signing contracts, getting the money together for solicitor's fees and stamp duty, organising furniture and everything else.

Anyway, eventually we managed to exchange contracts and so will finally complete on Friday. Hopefully my work is now done, apart from trying to pay off the money that I've borrowed. I was hoping that I'd be able to catch up a little next month, but I'm beginning to think that might be a bit optimistic. I guess I'll just pay off my credit cards as and when I can.

Anyway, the flat is now mine. My sister moves out on saturday, I'm helping her with the move, so from Sunday I can start getting my stuff in. I won't move completely until the 17th when I'll hire a van for all the big stuff.

Up til then I'll just drop stuff in when I'm going back and forth from work. Hopefully I can arrange for the furniture I've bought off one of my work collegue's neighbours to be delivered next week, so can probably get stuff in and start packing stuff away immediately.

Anyway, it's all go. We have lift off. :)
