"Yes it was."
"And of course Bush has behaved like an idiot over it as usual. Bush is to blame for all this."
"Um..."
"We need to get rid of him immediately! These bombings are entirely his fault!"
"Hang on..."
"No! Bush has so much to answer for. All these innocent Spaniards are dead because of Bush."
"Hang on a second... didn't you say a moment ago how disgusting it was to use the Madrid bombings to get across a political message and try to win votes?"
"Right!"
"But.. you're ranting about Bush and using the Madrid bombings as a way of getting across your political message that we need to get rid of Bush?"
"Right! Him and his Spanish lapdogs! They're evil."
"So using the deaths of hundreds of people to get across your political message is wrong unless it's Bush?"
"Um..."
"So what you're saying is that it's all Bush's fault that these extremists packed commuter trains wih bombs with the intention of killing as many civillians with no decision-making power over the invasion of Iraq and other 'anti-muslim' policies?"
"Sure..."
"Perhaps Bush personally went to Al Quaeda and held a gun to their heads and said, 'Plant the bombs! Go on, kill loads of people!'"
"Well, no obviously..."
"Because until Bush came to power there weren't any Al Quaeda attacks. Everyone in the world was living in peace and happiness and there was no anti-American feeling anywhere in the world. I mean, the suggestion that the September 11th attacks would have had to have been planned months, if not years, before Bush even came to power, that's ridiculous right?"
"Right! Bush is to blame! All those Spanish people are dead because of him!"
"What was that about it being disgusting to use the Madrid bombings to get your political message across again?"
"Ooops."
"Yes it was."
