Went out last night for a meal to belatedly celebrate my birthday. Excellent meal, only slightly spoilt by the fact we were the only people in the restaurant. It's so cold out there it's hardly surprising, but when the staf are all waiting for you to finish so they can say sod it and go home, it does make you feel a little rushed.

Nevertheless EXCELLENT meal. Pate followed by lamb shank tha was cooked to perfection. Accompanied by loads of fries, new potatoes, vegetables and copious amounts of a really nice red wine. Really nice.

Anyway, for the next 10 days or so my connection times are gonna be even spottier than normal I suspect. I've got deadline this week and my sister and her husband are taking their delayed honeymoon. That means their flat is empty and since it's only 10 minutes drive or bus ride away from my work, it makes sense to stay there and house sit over the days when they're not there, rather than cope with the usual hour long drive at the end of a strenuous day. And at the beginning come to that, means I can get a sleep in too. Yay. :)

Anyway, won't have access to my computer there, although I intend to borrow work's laptop so I have some connection time. If people don't see me though, they'll know why. Combination of deadline and lack of access.

Meanwhile...

Tonight I'm heading over to my sisters and staying the night so I can drive them to the station in the morning so they can catch the bus to the airport. Early start. Have a load of work to finish as best I can before then, though so I better get on with it.
