There's been much discussion as to what Chuck Austen has planned for the next few issues of Uncanny X-men and it's after careful research and study of Austen's modus operandi that I've been able to figure out the upcoming storylines for the current story arc.

The story unfolds like this:

Warren and Paige's relationship continues to deteriorate, but Paige is left to wonder why she feels such a strong bond to Warren who she apparently felt connected to immediately they met without explanation. In an emotional scene with Paige's mother it's revealed that before she married her husband he had had an affair with a rich married woman who can come looking for property in the area and had fallen for Mr Guthrie's rugged good looks. That woman was Warren's mother, and Warren was conceived during that time. It's revealed that Warren is, in fact, Paige's half brother. This explains why they felt a connection, but never acted upon it. This fulfils Austen's quota of Star Wars references, after the earlier nod to the 'I am your father' scene during the Draco. It also establishes the status quo that all mutants must be related somehow, either by blood or history.

As Warren and Paige adjust to their roles as brother and sister they go on an emotional rollercoaster. Warren finally recognises the meaning behind Psylocke's message to him from beyond the grave and comes out, starting a relationship with Bobby. Northstar finally gets a chance for plot involvement, but instead just leaves the Institute all together without a farewell scene.

Paige decides that she is a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man, and when Chamber returns to Xavier's she rejects him. She leaves Xavier's to become a nun and discovers that after leaving the school, Stacy X has also joined the same order.

Jeb realises the error of his ways and starts up a lifelong friendship with his previous rival, Abraham Cabot. They make a raft and sail down the Misssissipi on it having lots of adventures.

Meanwhile, Joshua Guthrie discovers that his lover, the Cabot, and he are going to be torn apart by their families rivalry. She is badly injured when she tries to protect him from a beating and Warren cures her, bringing out her latent mutancy. She promptly sprouts wings and confirms the theory of their being a load of angel mutants who will be attracted to each other and she and Josh fly off into the sunset.

Meanwhile, back at Xavier's Sammy returns to the school, but during a baseball game Cain loses his temper and beats the boy to death with his bat. Cain is immediately remorseful and all charges are dropped when it is discovered that once, in his past, he saved a puppy from drowning. He immediately celebrates by bedding his lawyer, Foggy Nelson.

I've run all the above theories through the Chuckomatic 3000 and they come out fine. Guess they're confirmed!
