Well that was probably a bad idea...

So anyway, dragged myself along to a play reading I'd been invited to tonight by the group that I often do a bit of poster design and set design and stuff for. Turns out that it's not a play reading exactly, more like actual auditions for Terrence Rattigan's Cause Celebre about a true life murder where a middle aged woman seduced her 17 year old home help and he ended up killing her husband. Bundle of laughs as you can imagine.
managed to get myself 'persuaded' to read a couple of parts. Not that I mind doing something, I haven't done any acting for ages, might be fun and get me out of the house a bit. However, the one role I didn't want was the 17 year old toy boy.
I DON'T look 17 dammit, stop trying to persuade me different!
Ended up having to read that role about 10 times with different people. I have the suspicion they really want me todo it now. Hopefully they'll get someone else - really unsure about a big role or finding the time between deadlines to take anything like that on.
Merf.
