On this blog and lack of motivation.

Morning all. Back from the weekend and ready to launch into another busy deadline week! Or not. I have no enthusiasm for it. Totally not motivated at all, which isn't a good thing. I just wanna go back to bed or faff about online, which on deadline isn't a good start.

Interesting results from the quick poll of readership last week. It seems more people are interested in comic, movie and TV related updates than anything else. One of the least popular things - personal updates. It just goes to show how the readership of this blog's changed - I did a similar poll a few years ago and had more people following the journal to find out what I was up to and only one or two interested in comics I'd been reading, which is kinda why I knocked the weekly review thing on the head.

Now it seems things have gone the other way, and probably not surprisingly. I've got more people following me who know me from places like scans_daily and fewer who know me personally or from other places who care what I'm up to outside of my geekery. (Or just didn't vote on the poll. Lazy gits.)

Not that I intend to stop doing the "this week I have been X" kind of posts. That's really what this journal is for. But I've always been unsure about spamming the blog with too much comic and movie related stuff since there seemed to be a limited audience for it. That's changed somewhat.

Of course, I'm never likely to please everyone (I know of people that stopped reading because I updated too often or with random crap they didn't want to read or whatever) and the main thing is that I please myself. Which is what I'm doing.

Thanks to those who filled in the poll, though, as it gives an indicator that people don't hate me pleasing myself either.
