New computer...

Brought the G4 home to replace the imac I have here and have spent a good few hours setting it up. Finally managed to network the two after I discovered that I did have a crossover network cable after all. It's not that fast but a lot faster than the other options I have available at the moment.

Certainly noticing a big difference. Unfortunately, it still seems to be suffering from the glutch it had a work - a couple of total system freezes almost immediately after startup in the mornings, but then fine for the rest of the day. After upgrading software, zeroing the harddrive a few times and so on, it still seems to occur. Even with added memory it still complains.

Ho hum.

New comic day...

Damn, got a lot of comics this week. Quite the stack waiting for me when I popped in.

I bought:

Dardevil 78, Howling Commandos 1, Black Widow 2, Defenders 4, New X-men 19, Young Avengers 8, Authority: The Magnificent Kevin 3, Black Panther 9, New Avengers 12, Wolverine 35, Catwoman 48, Monsters on the Prowl, Fing Fang Four, Transformers 0.

Chatted with the comic book guy about various upcoming titles, as well as House of M. he seems to have the same outlook on stuff as I do, so it's always interesting to have a chat. We both have enjoyed the House of M core title, and the supposed twist. Some of the tie ins he's enjoyed, as have I. The Wolverine tie in has been pretty fun, Uncanny I enjoyed. My only disappointment from the House of M books I've read so far has been New X-men, which has diappointed me immensely.

He'd sold out of the Yearbook and hadn't thought to put one aside. Have to pick that up next week.

Looking forward to a lot of the Decimation stuff, but apparently it's created problems for retailers. With most of the titles "Classified" as regards content up until a week or so ago, and some still not giving any details away, he has no clue whether to order 10 or 100 copies of som titles.

Guess I need to make a list of those I want.
