- 16:21 Just been watching Waterloo. They don't write war movies like this anymore. "My god, sir, I've lost my leg." "My god, sir, so you have." #
- 19:47 You know, coming down with a virus on deadline is not a fun experience. Doubles the awfulness. To cheer myself up I'm sneezing on someone. #
- 21:22 Wow, ITV, you've reached a new low. This has to go down as the worst piece of TV since that nude Keith Chegwin quiz. #

Date: 2009-10-18 09:39 am (UTC)Interesting to know about the Wellingon conversation. I recognized that other lines in the movie were documented historically ("I don't know what they'll do to the enemy; but, by God, they frighten me.") but I didn't know about that one.
Great movie though. In the days of CGI something's been lost from those mass battle scenes. When you know that they only filmed about a dozen people in different hats, it's a world of difference between the thousands of extras used in movies like this.
