So, England's in the grip of an extreme weather front or something. That basically means we're getting torrential force rain and storm force/gale force winds. Oh, and mini-tornados in the Bristol Channel. So, yeah, left the house at 8.20 this morning and the weather was -horrific-. The rain was solid, and it's obviously come down so quickly that most of the drains can't handle it. At the stage that the force of the water under the manhole covers was blasting them up onto the street. Visibility was down to nothing driving towards the ferry and there were a couple of points where the road was so badly flooded that it was literally like driving through a ford. The water must have been a foot deep and 10 foot across.

Thankfully by the time I parked the car up near work the winds, if not the rain, had died down. So at least walking the half mile from where I park my car to where I walk wasn't horrfically damp. Previously the rain had not only been solid, but coming down sideways too. With an umbrella, at least only my legs and shirt are still soaked (had to wring my shirt out when I got to work.)

Anyhow...

The paper had arrived by the time I got to work. I don;t think there's too many horible mistakes this month. Two minor typing errors that hopefully the clients won't notice, and the pagination is off so the glossy pages and the matt pages don't fall in the right positions. Neither mistakes are my fault. Surprisingly, I don't think I made any cock ups this month, which given the circumstances over Christmas wasn't bad.

Since I was off work Thursday and Friday I now have a load of work to catch up on. Also want to finish my Arcade app that had corrupted on the disk I copied it onto. Hopefully I still have it on this work comp.

Anyhow, not much else going on. Tired now after a few late nights but oh well. :)

Captain James T. Kirk
Captain James T. Kirk- You are the paradigm of the
Starfleet Captain. You explore the universe.
You save lives. What's a few small fractures
of protocol when you've saved the galaxy more
times than you can count. Hell, you even
brought peace between the Federations and the
Klingons.

Which Star Trek Captain are you?

Oh and...

Started my diet on Saturday yet again. I've been off it since I went to visit my girl in the US last May and really haven't been careful at all about what I've eaten since. Which probably explains why I'm 192 lb instead of the 168 I want to be/should be.

So, back on my diet again, to try and shave those lbs off. Not really bothered about how I look but I feel unfit and unhealthy at the moment. Moving's too much of an effort.

So! No treats for me.

I expect nagging. ;)
