So...

Came to back up my work tonight and found the magazine document, which is basically the entire month's work, had corrupted somehow. Not exactly something I wanted to deal with. Thankfully by this stage all the final pdf files are with the printers so the paper should still hit the print slot.

Unfortunately for me it basically means any final work I did since my last backup has gone. Thankfully it's not as horrible as it could be - all the advert files are seperate and can simply be dropped into place on a new layout again. The majority of pages I haven't touched since last night. There's about 8 or so I've lost but of those 5 I have backed up as my assistant did the composite pages, and the others were just waiting for ads to be dropped into them to be complete mostly.

Does mean Monday morning will be spent repeating the work I did today. Just so we have an original quark file to work with for repeat copy and so on.

God its tedious.

Finally got home anyway and feel like death warmed up. Can't even conjour up the energy to read comics.
