Due to the fact that snow so rarely settles in this part of the country (it's the sea air), it's notable that my car was two inches deep in snow this morning.

It's quite nippy out. My lounge was 15 degrees this morning, too, which suggests that, despite my rather large gas bill this quarter, having the heating only come on an hour or so before I get up is not the best of plans.

Fun fun.

Oh, and the picture of Eddie the Eagle is just to show that the English and snow don't really mix. We're never prepared for it, despite it happening every ***king year.

I assure you that you're more prepared than the people here in South Carolina.


A few weeks back, a few people I know were pitching enormous fits because it was "too cold to work". It was about 20F and they felt that they ought not have to work because it was too cold out.


I laughed. Quite a bit.
