2008 is here for those of us in the civillized world

I see from my friends list that I'm not the only one that spent the evening in, watching Python, having a couple of solitary drinks and just chilling. A few reasons for that - I've seen a lot of my family lately and everyone's round here tomorrow to celebrate the New Year, the friends I'd have seen the New Year in are either with their own families or elsewhere in the country, everywhere's so expensive anyway and I'm a miserable sode who gets just as much enjoyment out of watching David Tennant and John Sim be adorable on Jools Holland's Annual Hootenanny, talking about "touching" Paul McCartney and ska dancing to Madness as I would be in a crowded pub somewhere getting jostled out into the freezing cold to sing Auld Lang Syne with a bunch of pissed up strangers.

So, I've had a nice evening in, watching movies, sitting with my feet up and mellowing out and that's as good a way to see in the New Year as any.

So, happy 2008 to everyone and hope the year brings you all you desire, unless it's illegal or morally repugnant, in which case you're on your own.

2008 is going to be awesome, I already know it. My mum was flicking the channels about an hour ago and there was Monty Python's Flying Circus on and not only she left it, she also laughed! My mum hates Monty Python! It was both scary and exciting... like them :D
