Paul Cornell's been announced as the new writer for New Excalibur, as was rumoured. Looks like Claremont is stepping down from that and Excalibur and, while it's sad to see the old guy bowing out, it's fantastic news for me that Cornell's replacing him. You know. Cornell. British guy. Wrote the Wisdom miniseries which had fairies, dragons, giants, Jack the Ripper and Martians battling Pete Wisdom, a skrull John Lennon, a goth fairy called Tink an Captain Midlands and had one of the most bitter sweet endings to any work of fiction ever, as well as writing the Human Nature/Family of Blood episodes of last series of Doctor Who. You know the guy. The talented one.
Who apparently turned up for a meeting with Marvel out of his gourd. He's really trying to be as British as possible isn't he?
Love it!
