Okay, so over at www.donmurphy.net, it's time for the Second Annual Don Murphy.net Spammy Awards, a fine tradition celebrating the boldest and best of the message board morons residents, (nicknamed the stooges) who have spent the year making their mark in such categories as Best Avatar, Best Post, Most Creative Stooge, Biggest fanboy, Most Insane Poster and more...

It's a cool idea, in my opinion, giving a little kudos to a few people who work to make the message board an entertaining place. And some message boards can be, scarily. In my 18 months there, I've grown accustomed to the place. The joys, the woes, the highs, the lows, are second nature to me now, like breathing in and breathing out...

Okay, I've lapsed into singing My Fair Lady tunes.

Anyway, not only do they have the awards themselves, but members Cyclonus31 put together the awards, Jolin and Yunacron created artwork and JesterJJZ has even created a kick ass video presentation of the winners that can be downloaded from here. (Right click to save.)

Probably not gonna mean anything to people outside of the board, but hey, I think it's cool.

And, yeah, I won a couple of categories. For the second year running, my evil winking baby avatar won the SCARIEST AVATAR award (I think it was created in my honour). I also won a landslide victory in the MOST SARCASTIC POSTER category.

I'm sure I have absolutely no idea why.

I also came runner-up in the "Class Clown/Comedian", "Most Intelligent Stooge", "Stooge most likely to be in the Transformers movie", "Best Post", "Most Useful Thread Maker," "Worst insult", "Biggest Ass-Kisser towards Don" and "Stooge who lives on this board" categories.
