Wot I am listening to

Now playing: The Jeff Healey Band - Shapes of Things

Jeff Healey, raised in Toronto's west end, lost his sight when he was one year old, due to cancer of the eyes. Nevertheless he began playing guitar when he was only three, developing his unique playing style of holding the instrument flat on his lap and playing it almost like a keyboard. He pops up in the movie Road House, (inspired when its creator saw Jeff playing) and was nominated for a Grammy in 1988. If you like this cover of the Yardbirds classic, check out "Angel Eyes", "How Long Can a Man Be Strong" and his cover of The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with Eric Clapton.

Optimus Prime Returns!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It's just been announced at Comicon and confirmed by screenwriter Roberto Orci, that the godfather of voice artists Peter Cullen will be returning to the role of Optimus Prime in the new Transformers movie - a role he made famous over 20 years ago.

The fans have gone wild on this subject above any other and it looks like for a lot of people, dreams have come true.

I'm a little more restrained, but I'm seriously happy about this. Transformers without Cullen would be like casting Peewee Herman as Darth Vader.

Oh happy day!
