Garage rock! I like you... I like you alot! You and indie are on the same plane for me! You bring rock'n'roll down to its dirty roots, whether being minimalist like The White Stripes or retro like The Strokes. You keep on doing what you're doing! Oh...and did I mention I like you alot?
Apparently the people my sister is buying the house off have contacted her and told her they need to exchange within two weeks or they'll pull out.
Two words - like fuck.
Two weeks for a sale and to sort out mortgages, contracts, searches and everything else? No, sorry, but no. The soonest I'm likely to have enough cash together to pay just the stamp duty and solicitor's fees will be a month. Even that is pushing things. Just went back to my sister and told her there's no chance.
My boss has given me a loan but even taking that into account I have to pay stamp duty (£1300), solicitor's fees (around £1000) and also have the first two mortgage repayments in hand as the mortgage company will require two in areers. The whol lot will be about £3500. I have, including my boss' advance, around £2000 with another £500 on its way. That means finding another £1000 witihin two weeks.
Two more words - no way.
I just don't have that kind of cash. I -will- come payday but it's unreasonable to expect me to come up with it that quickly.
Eh, so screwed. Really don't want more stress. Have this play next week to worry about and now the sale too? Yeeeeeesh
I've just spoken to my sister again. Basically after discussing it with her we've said that 4th May will be the soonest that we're able to complete. So her real estate agent has got back to the people she's buying from with that as a proposed date. Have to wait and see what they say.
If they don't like it, well, too bad. They'll lose a sale and we all lose out.
