(no subject)

So anyway, I'd just like to say that the latest issue of Uncanny X-men was absolutely bloody brilliant. Therer seemed to be a lack of missing eyes this issue and even the noses didn;t annoy me as much!

Must say I've really got into the current writer (whose name suddenly escapes me. Chuck someone?) He's managed to introduce old characters from the existing raft of obscure X-men and make them interesting to me. I don't know much about Lorna or Alex or Northstar and the fact that I'm actually enjoying treading stories with characters I'm unfamiliar with is a good sign.

I'm particularly impressed by the writer's willingness to pick up storyline threads that had just been dropped into the past issues without much fuss. FINALLY there is a resolution to the Psylocke and Warren relationship. A taster of things to come with Paige and some real action with Juggernaught's explosive introduction to the team. There's a few real humdingers of lines in the issue too...

Paige: Hey, wait a minute. Did you just press your naked chest to mine?!

Warren and Betsy's relationship was so horribly handled in the Chris Claremont issues it's nice to see someone actually make mention of it AT LAST. Also it seems he'll be picking up the storyline wit kurt's nightmarish visions in issues to come. All good stuff.

I just hope Jono makes a reappearance soon. Apparently he's due to pop up and "try and tear Warren a new one"/ Look forward to that. :)

Hope Stacy X isn't wasted either... she was turning into an interesting character...
