Not a good week

Man, death's been having a field day this week.

We've lost sci-fi guru Arthur C. Clarke.

Oscar winning director Anthony Minghella has died at just 54 following surgery last week for cancer of the tonsils and neck.

Today we've heard Oscar winner Paul Scofield has also died after being treated for leukemia.

And British comedy legend Brian Wilde died in his sleep.

And John Hewer, who played Captain Birdseye in the adverts for the company of the same name for over 30 years died earlier in the week.

And now reports that Dame Maggie Smith is battling breast cancer.
