Mixed Bag

Yep, trying to get broadband up and running has proved every bit as frustrating and infuriating as I imagined. I just -don't- understand networking at all (we have a router so all the macs can connect), and this gaping hole in my knowledge has left me completely blank and unable to grasp quite -where- to start. I can't even get beyond setting this computer's IP address. How do you do that? It's a mystery to me.

I'm resigned to the fact that I don't understand it in any way. Grah.

This is a matter of some irritation to me. Called in Greg, the other designer, who'll pop in over lunch. Unfortunately this means I'll be deprived my lunch hour. May have a word with the boss and see if I can get an hour anyway. I'm allowed time after last week dammit and if he doesn;t like it he'll have to lump it.

Actually, despite appearances to the contrary I'm feeling a lot more relaxed today, the headache seems to have retreated to the back of my neck and I don't feel too exhausted. Hopefully we can get this damn network sorted and I can get some rp done sometime today. You never know your luck.

Yeah, after a week or so without I'm back in the mushing mood. Have to see what's thrown my way and how enthusiastic other people are.

Hopefully I'll see the girlfriend for a little while too. Looking forwards to that. Now my mood is slowly improving hopefully we'll have a better day of it today.

Heh, I really do quite like having nothing to do...

'Have to see what's thrown my way and how enthusiastic other people are.'? *eyes* You say that like you actually need to bother and hassle people for RP.
